i have a 2003 honda accord.Where is the cheapest place in santa monica to get my windshield replaced?
The windshield repair process involves the drilling of tiny holes into the glass and using special glazing techniques, the cracks are filled in with a substance that hardens and stops cracks from spreading. The substance used is a kind of liquid resin, which is then hardened with ultraviolet light, much the same as your dentist uses. Making sure that the repair has the same refractive qualities as the rest of the windshield to minimize distortion, the windshield repairman can cause your windshieldæª crack to disappear. Sometimes, you will be able to notice a slight blur at the sight of the crack, but it should be fairly minimal.Where is the cheapest place in santa monica to get my windshield replaced?

I have a Ford F150 truck 1993,replaced the windshield motor will not stay on unless I hold the button?
I hear a clicking noise under the dash,is there a relay?I have a Ford F150 truck 1993,replaced the windshield motor will not stay on unless I hold the button?
My first thought was regarding a potential problem with the unit being grounded. I don't know what the story with your windshield motor is nor of the 1993 model year specifically... but that's what I would check because it might be vital to the unit working correctly. If it's supposed to be grounded and isn't then it may not function normally. That may not entirely make sense being that it works as long as the button is pushed... but it's worth looking into.
I would also double check the wiring. First to make sure it's all reconnected correctly and also to make sure I didn't accidentally damage any of the wiring itself. After that? It's possible the replacement unit isn't the right one... and also that it is bad out of the box from a parts supplier. I've seen that happen so many times it's not funny. Double check you have the correct wiper motor for your truck (use the part number to double check) and see if there's any bench test for the motor. If there is, it'll most likely be found in the shop manual or a repair manual for your truck. Best wishes!I have a Ford F150 truck 1993,replaced the windshield motor will not stay on unless I hold the button?
Yes there is a wiper control module under the dash.

My passenger side on my grand prix is wet and it isnt the heater core its the windshield?
where would the problem most likely be located on the same side or what%26gt;%26gt; how much does it cost to replace front windshield???My passenger side on my grand prix is wet and it isnt the heater core its the windshield?
If the paint was scraped off during a windshield change, it could have a hole rusted through the sheet metal causing the leak.My passenger side on my grand prix is wet and it isnt the heater core its the windshield?
Have you pressure tested the coolant system? Have you been using your ac?
I'd love to know the answer - I have the same problem with my '97 Grand Prix. I was told once that it gets under the seal at the top where the 2 strips on the roof touch the top of the windscreen - but I haven't had a chance to find out for sure.
BTW, you can sometimes just remove the old windshield, clean the old adhesive off and put it back again. It's cheaper, but they won't guaranty that they can get the windscreen out in one piece. It's worth a try (if they can get a replacement quickly if it does break), but be prepared to buy a new screen anyway - just in case. Otherwise, your car will be undrivable until you get a new screen.
You didn't indicate the year of your vehicle but I'll assume it's fairly late-model. Most likely the drain in the bottom of your ';air box'; is plugged. The air box.....or heater plenum ....is the ducting that houses your heater core and allows air to come in the cabin. If the drain is plugged, rain water can back up in the system and leak onto the floor. Take it to a shop and ask them to inspect the drain. They will have to put your car on a lift and look underneath it after determining if that's the problem. Of course a leaking windshield seal is also a possibility. If that's the case it can possibly be resealed without being removed if the leak area can be indentified. If the exact area can not be determined, but it's confirmed to be coming from the windshield, it can be totally removed and and reinstalled with new sealant. Any qualified glass company could do that for you and many will even come to your location to do it. That's your best option if it's the windshield. Having a glass company do it (probably $100-$150) will insure it's done correctly, plus if they break it they should replace it at no extra cost to you. A regular repair shop may or may not honor breakage.
I'm with Nick. My wife's '89 Grand Prix did this on the passenger side. Put the car up on the rack and reach up behind the motor on the firewall just off center to the passenger side, you'll find the drain hole for the A/C condenser housing. Stick your finger in and remove any debris that may be stopping it up.

Where is the best and cheapest place to get a windshield replaced?
Here's what you do. Open the phonebook and call the first national autoglass replacement company and get a quote. Call the next company and see if they will beat the first quote. (they will) Call the next company and do the same. After going through several companys, call Safelite and get them to beat the lowest price then call Triumph and see if they will beat Safelites price. Be sure to tell them it is a Safelite quote. OK, that's the cheapest way to go. For the best quality job contact your local independent glas shop and pay their price. The nationwide autoglass companys are concerned with ONE thing, quantity! If the installer spends longer than 20 or 30 minutes working on your car he is in trouble. So leaky windshield or not at least you'll get it fast.Where is the best and cheapest place to get a windshield replaced?
Well you may try a local junkyard. They may know someone who could install it for you.Where is the best and cheapest place to get a windshield replaced?
call your insurance company. you'll just pay the deductible.
Just go to an auto glass shop. It's worth it.
you should be able to call around for estimates for your area (call before you decide to go through your insurance company - it's a point on your record any time you go through them and the deducable may be more than you'd pay to have it replaced on your own). also make sure that if the windshield cracks they will replace it free - i know it sounds weird, but sometimes they are off just a little and it causes the windshield to crack after a few days. one of the places in san diego made you pay for the installation again! so be sure you don't get charged if that happens. whoever goes through pep boys (i believe it is safe-t-glass) SUCKS! does not matter how inexpensive they are, i can't tell you how many complaints i got on them!
Do a Google for auto glass in your city and call for quotes. Many will come to you and install it right in your drive way or place of business.

3 pellet gun shots on windshield best repair kit to use?
my girlfriends windshield of her car been shot for a year now and it has 3 small pellet gun shots about each the size of a penny she doesnt want to replace her whole windshield because they do not leak and did not break thru to the inside have any of you used those fix a windshield kits and how well do they work?3 pellet gun shots on windshield best repair kit to use?
My understanding is that the repair kits do not work well and the strength of the repair is never the same as the original. Look in your yellow pages under auto repair--glass. It is a very competitive business and you can find good prices. Not free, but reasonable, sometimes for so little that it's not worth reporting it to your auto insurance bc the total cost is less than the insurance deductible.3 pellet gun shots on windshield best repair kit to use?

new windshield man. repairs are no good
It might be illegal in some states if the crack obstructs the view but no one really enforces this unless you clearly have the money to get it fixed. Windshield repair kits sound like a myth, I see of no way they could do anything more than seal the crack to make sure it doesn't leak. You can't put glass back together. So if it doesn't leak, don't do anything about it.
