If you use your insurance for anything that would be less than 500 out of pocket its a complete waste as your premiums will go up, so please don't use that advice as you will get double dinged---first your windsheild than your pocketbook :P

Here is a place online that sells glass resins they claim work to fix the crack:

Why not use your car insurance and have the windshield replaced? There's no other solution, and you need a full strength windshield for the air bags to work properly on the passenger side as well as protect you while driving.
There are companies that can repair that, but normally your insurance will cover the entire cost.
A crack, nothing. If it were a stone pop, you can have it filled.
heres to cheap ways to try if your handy with tools. 1. go to walmart and buy the fix a windshield kit in there automotive department about $12 ( i know they have it i work at one) 2. go to a junk yard and as carfully as you can pop the windshield out of a car that is like yours and put it in your car. (wind shields run about 30 bucks at the junk yard )

that would be the cheapest way to fix your problem but it all comes with risks so plan it carefully and good luck
once it has cracked and started to run there is no repairing it.
