A 1996 Chevy Caviler should run about $215. For your exact price based on location and glass options do a Google search or look in the yellow pages for a local shop. What is the average cost to replace a windshield?
The last one cost about $300, parts and labor. I went to the source, got a quote on-line (24/7) and even set up an appointment for them to go where my wife worked and replace it.

Other major auto glass companies may do as well, so shop around.
This should cost you about $200 new. But you may can get a used one at the junkyard, which would cost you about $50-75.00. Safelite check them out online, they will come to you and put the windshield in.
it cost me about $235 for a Focus, so i can't see it costing much more or less
2 to $250.
Around 200 if you don't go to a dealer.
No more than $300-400.
