How could you ever prove it?
If you have the licence plate of the truck that did it, and the time they were on the road, call the company. Explain your situation and see what policies they have in place to deal with this. You just might get help from them with no problem. Otherwise you can tactfully try letting them know that if they do not address this matter, they can expect a letter from your lawyer. Windshields get pricey... 100-500 depending. I would atleast try.
