How much does it cost to replace the front windshield of a 2002 Hyundai Sonata?

I'm not sure if it'll need to be replaced but that's the worse case scenerio...How much does it cost to replace the front windshield of a 2002 Hyundai Sonata?
I usually pay......$135 to $ 165......you can buy a new one and place it your self....$85

The glass shops will come to your place....and replace the glass right on the spot....in about 25 minutes. This type of replacement is usually very competitive.

In shops and new car dealers....they usually just call the guys to come change it out and tack some extra bucks.

Check with your insurance, if rocks on a freeway while driving broke it....they pay $225 to $ 290.

prolly 150-200 bones
maybe go to your hyundai service provider and ask for updated price lists and also seek for qoutation of parts and service
I think it also depends on your deductable, if you choose to use this route.

Before you go out-of-pocket, check with your insurance, they should have a windshield protection which you can call and the first question they usually ask is how did it happen and then how big is the crack. If it's bigger than a dollar bill then you'll need a replacement.

Good luck!
I've never heard of anyone paying under $200 for a windshield, though a friend of mine paid over $600 to have the windshield of her 2001 Eclipse replaced. Most likely you will end up paying from $250-$400. I'd call 2-3 auto-glass places and get a quote, the dealer should be your last option. Some places you have to take the car, though many come to your office and replace in the parking lot too.
