How much does it cost to replace a windshield?

A couple of days ago a tree fell in my front yard and a branch went through my windshield and my insurance doesn't cover it. I wanted to know whats a god price to get it fixed since I'm really low on cashHow much does it cost to replace a windshield?
The first thing I would consider is going to a wreckyard and getting them to cut a windshield that is same make, model and year of your car. The window itself will probably cost around 100$ give or take 25$. If your good at sweet talking then this is your chance. All the glass shops in my area charge around 50 an hour and a good shop can place the window in in under an hour. So your looking at anywhere between 100$ to 200$ dollars all together. Be warned, cutting a windshield is difficult and there is a chance the wreckyard may brake the windshield if you take this route. Good luck! How much does it cost to replace a windshield?
find an installer that will install a used one. prices vary different places.
Windshield on my 95 ford escort was 275 bucks from giant glass
i replaced my 89 probe for under$200.
Call local junkyards. They'll have the windshield for anywer between $25-$100.

Installation would be another $50-$100 if you find the right guy. (look in the yellow pages or craigslist) Avoid big companies, or be prepared to pay lots of cash.

Do not buy a new winshield, unless your car is a new car..

Used winshiled would work the same.. lol.
I actually got mine fixed yesterday for $129.00 plus tax

They drove to me and fixed it in under one hour.

How I got it that cheap is I went to Craigslist and I looked under automobile services and found a company that guaranteed to match and beat any quote by 10%

Maybe you can try that
