What tools are needed to replace a windshield by myself?

I have a cracked windshield on a '97 Nissan Altima and I'm wanting to replace it myself instead of taking it to a professional. I need to know if anyone knows the tools that are needed for this job. I need to know as soon as possible. What tools are needed to replace a windshield by myself?
First you don't have the tools, if you rented them it will cost you more than you get it done professionally. Where are you going to dump the old windshield? It is cheap enough if you shop around. If you live in the Los Angeles, California Auto Glass 818-252-1427 will able to replace yours for under $135. Taking it off will require a lot of work. You have to remove the windshield molding without breaking it. You need a slid pliers to separate the windshield from the old sealant. Like the others have said, you need suction cups to lift the windshield off and on for the new one; make sure you havea strong back or couple people to help you. Alignment the windshield is an art. It looks easy but not. Windshield sealant is not cheap. It will cost you at the least about $25. You can only use it once. If you screw it up, you window will leak. You wish you should have a professional did that for you. Sometimes do-it-yourself may not make any sense. Good luck! What tools are needed to replace a windshield by myself?
They are special tools that are needed and the adhesive that is used cannot be purchased unless you are certified in auto glass replacement. In other words, the newer windshields are glued in and not wedged in like the early 80's and cannot be done by yourself.
You need two suction cups, special adhesive and a heck of a lot of shoulder strength. Even the pros use two men.

I'd advise you to take it to a pro. Many insurance companies pay a large part of the fee.
SHOULDN'T BE ATTEMPTED !! It'll leak at best.
u out your damn mind you dont want to do that
