By law do i need to replace a broken windshield?

FloridaBy law do i need to replace a broken windshield?
yesBy law do i need to replace a broken windshield?
If it in any way distorts your vision the law may require you to replace it.
If it impares you vision then most definatlly yes. Would you want someone driving near you that couldn't see well due to something like that? I know I wouldn't.
Yes. The windshield must pass inspection for safety. You get less than a second to respond in an accident...use your time clear eyed, save your life and someone elses. Think about your mother, son, daughter, wife? Do the right thing quickly and the legal thing.
Yes the law says that you must fix a broken or cracked windshield.
Mine has been cracked from top to bottom for 2 years now with no probs.
Yes. If the crack impedes your view, you will have to replace it. Keep in mind that cracks and chips will get worse over time unless they are ';drill stopped.'; If you can, have the crack drill stopped. However, if it's already too late and the crack is impeding your view, or likely to in the future, then you are obligated to get it replaced for safety reasons. Also keep in mind that law enforcement officers know cracks will get worse, and with that information, they will likely ticket you if they become aware of the defective windshield because they'll interpret the ';impede'; part of the statute quite liberally.
