Precipitation post windshield replacement?

I had my front windshield replaced at 1030am yesterday morning. (17 Jan).

I do not have a car port or garage so my car doesn't have any way of being covered. I looked outside and saw that it had snowed. Can this be damaging? They told me not to drive it for 2-3 hours after it was replaced, which I didn't. They also told me not to wash it for 4 days. Can the light snow (1/2 inch) be damaging to the replacement? It's been 14 hours.Precipitation post windshield replacement?
Don't worry about nothing. The snow or rain can not damage the windshield after being replaced. The difference between the a car wash and the rain or snow, is that the car wash have high powered jet wash this can damage or remove the moulding (trim around the windshield). Even in the hardest rain or snow storm will not damage the windshield after being replaced. As for ';not to drive it for 2-3 hours'; they should have kept the car in their garage for that time being. We tell all customers they can not drive their car for a few hours, after the windshield have been replaced (if the car is equipped with passenger side air bag) because, it is a safety feature. If you have a passenger side airbag (the one on top of the dashboard) and god forbid you get into a accident, the airbag will explode and reflecting bouncing off the windshield and the windshield will fly off the car if its not cured, causing you to go right Thur the front windshield (if your not wearing a seat belt.

I hope you got a better understanding on windshield replacement. Forgive me my grammar is not the greatest and i hope i made sense.Precipitation post windshield replacement?
No if it were a problem they would have told you to keep it in a garage till everything Had cured. dont worry. There should be some warranty against leaks and other stuff.
