Don't worry, you don't have to replace your windshield right now. the windshield is made of two panes of glass and the rock penetrated through the first pane of glass. what you need to do is where it's spreading out from take a razor blade and cut into the glass so you can feel it with your finger nail and make a perfect T. this will stop the spreading until you can come up with the money to replace your windshield.I have a rock chip on my windshield that has continue to spread. It will continue to spread until it reaches the edge of the glass. There's nothing you can do except replace the windshield.
