I have a 93 Honda Civic and I just replaced the windshield. I had a replacement mirror but it doesn't fit correctly. I just went to a bone yard and got an OEM mirror. Now I am having trouble taking the gray piece that was attached to the windshield from the mirror. Anyone know an easy way to do this?How do you remove the rear view mirror from the windshield?
Go to a Autozone store and find the Rear view mirror glue. Then look on the package for a phne # and call them to find out what breaks down that glue. I have yanked real hard and had a success rate of about 85%.How do you remove the rear view mirror from the windshield?
find some expoxy, or mirror glue. glue the gray metal piece to the windshield then tape it to the windshield, so that it wont slide out of place. wait until the next day, then attach the mirror. rounded part of the gray piece points upwards.
