Washington state law for cracked windshield?

I want my 31 inches cracked windshield replace. I need to know if my insurance will cover the whole replacement. I heard from someone that insurance will replace it for free if it's longer than a dollar bill. It will just go under my comprehensive. I need to knows the laws, statues or code regarding this so before I call my insurance.Washington state law for cracked windshield?
This isn't a matter of statutory law, it's a matter of contractual law.

Meaning - Check your policy! If you bought comprehensive coverage, then you have coverage for your windshield. Call your insurance company to find out if a deductible applies.

This is not between you and the state (except that your crack is surely a statutory violation), it's between you and your insurance company.Washington state law for cracked windshield?
You are correct that your windshield will need to be replaced. A 31 inch crack is not repairable.

The insurance company will waive the deductible--that is, REPAIR the windshield for free--if the crack is SMALLER than a dollar bill / 6 inches.

If you file a claim you will be responsible for any deductible, unless your policy has a waiver on the comprehensive coverage for glass damage only losses.
LOL I've never heard anything about longer than a dollar bill. It will be covered under the comprehensive part of your policy subject to any deductible you may have chosen. Comp claims are not surcharged. Call your insurance company
